Common good fund audits (Angus Council)

Common good fund audits

Arbroath Herald

JUST a few weeks after this newspaper asked for an up-to-date list of Common Good Fund assets in Arbroath, Angus Council has launched a burgh by burgh audit of those very assets.

The last review of all the Angus funds was carried out seven years ago, and although the audit found the council’s records in good shape, it was felt that a new comprehensive audit was due.

Updated advice on Common Good Law has now been issued and this will help inform the review exercise, which will be led by one of the council’s senior solicitors.
